The Universal Edition comes without most of the codecs pre-installed by
default to ease redistribution in countries where patents are applicable
to software, i.e. USA, Japan...
If you want to install them and get the same level of multimedia support
as found in the other editions, open the menu -> Sound & Video and click
on "Install Multimedia Codecs".
