just tested Ubuntu 10.04 alpha2 on a usb. startup disc creator just works like 
normal this time.
ubuntu logo on live cd is white, why?
choose try ubuntu(first option), kernel panic.
reboot. boot error, reboot, live cd starts.
press F6, press Esc, change quiet splash -- to acpi=off noapic pnpbios=off 
quiet splash --, press Enter
