Public bug reported:

MythBuntu 9.10

I have got myself a cm106 (or cm6206?) based external usb soundcard, because I
gave up on getting the internal soundcard working:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/494879

Anyway. With my new external soundcard, sound is finally working. Unfortunately
it doesn't seem like I have any Master Volume. Under playback in the alsamixer
I have: Microphone, Speaker(2ch), Speaker1(8ch).
(The Gnome Alsa Mixer shows PCM, PCM, Mic, Speaker, Speaker - doesn't seem that
I can control the channels individually here. I think PCM, PCM is for recording)

The Speaker with 2channels doesn't seem to control anything (optical out?).
Speaker1 controls the channels just fine.

The problem is that I don't have any Master Volume to control the output
volume.

The second problem would be to bind the volume control button on my
laptop to my missing master volume (currently it's connected to my
internal soundcard) - but that's not a bug.

** Affects: alsa-driver (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
