Thanks for reporting this bug and any supporting documentation. Since
this bug has enough information provided for a developer to begin work,
I'm going to mark it as confirmed and let them handle it from here.
Having followed many of the conversations on #ubuntu+1, this bug is not
limited to any particular video setup. It appears in systems using
Intel, Nvidia, and ATI video cards. The message is harder to see on fast
systems, but the garbled GDM screen and freezes are visible on all
systems.
