Works here, so I need more information from you.
Please insert an audio CD into the drive, and then copy&paste the output
of
gvfs-mount -li
sudo /lib/udev/cdrom_id /dev/sr0
(This is for the Asus drive; if you use the Pioneer drive, use "sr1"
instead)
