Whenever you recieve this message it is usually because you have another file
manager open.
EX: Trying to run the Update Manager while Synaptic Package Manager is open.
Trying to install software with the Software Center while the Update
Manager or Synaptic Package Manager is open.
Make sure you only have one of the Software Managers open. Sone of the
different Software Managers are:
Update Manager
Synaptic Package Manager
Software Center
