Hi Maxim,
Examining your DpkgTerminalLog.txt file I notice the following:
/usr/share/debconf/confmodule: line 42: printf: write error: Broken pipe
User postinst hook script [/sbin/update-grub] exited with value 1
dpkg: error processing linux-image-2.6.31-20-generic (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
This looks to be a duplicate of bug 481743 so I am marking it as such.
Please continue to track this issue at that report. Thanks.
