This problem has not been fixed with the recent updates.
The contrast between the text and the background in the selected/active
elements in the panel is still very low.
I suggest to use a brighter text colour (and maybe a darker background colour)
in order to enhance the readability of the text.
The attached screen-shot is very much self-explanatory.
