@jf The fix has come via the repositories for ubuntu. I don't know for sure what package change resolved the issue, but I can confirm that the same install of Lotus Notes that didn't work with New Wave theme before, now works flawlessly.
I suspect the issue was a Java/Eclipse compatibility issue with the theme.
