Hi, I had the "/ filesystem has errors [SIFM]" message at boot time (with the Ubuntu startup logo) after a strange system crash on Lucid Beta 1. Trying to press any key (F, M or anything else) didn't do anything. The system was completely frozen. I guess that's part of the fun when you run on Beta!
What I did to fix this it to run a Gparted Live CD (see: http://gparted.sourceforge.net/livecd.php), have Gparted check at my ext4 filesystem and then reboot. Even if Gparted apparently fond no errors, the problem was solved and the system boot fine. -- plymouth crashes the filesystem https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/537926 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
