You might need to go to the Ubuntu support place at the main site then forward this message to every e-mail address on that web-site along with the related projects. The situation might not be a technology problem instead it might be, a people problem.
This place known as the Linux Outlaws will need to know what you have done while following my advice, along with your sending the blame for the advice to me in the event that some people do become angry.
