Sigh.  asihpi driver comes from alsa-driver git repository.  It is not
in alsa-kernel repo, which AFAIK is what Linus pulls from for his tree.

So, it seems that out of tree drivers from alsa-driver repo are packaged
into the -backports- package.

As for why this driver is not in alsa-kernel, you might have to ask the
ALSA maintainers that question directly.
