I can confirm this bug and have attached another pdf which triggers the crash. The password is "fightforyourright". Interestingly, the pdf is shown properly for 0,5 seconds before evince disappears.
Right now, there are about 20 users around me running Ubuntu 9.10, they can all open the document. I'm running Ubuntu 10.4 and it crashes. I'd like to attach the report from "aport" as well, but it seems to me as if it only does this automatically when I report a new bug, but does not attach anything if I find a similar bug report and chose to expand it. Console output is: Error: Incorrect password (evince:585): EvinceView-CRITICAL **: ev_pixbuf_cache_set_page_range: assertion `start_page >= 0 && start_page < ev_document_get_n_pages (pixbuf_cache->document)' failed (evince:585): Poppler-CRITICAL **: PopplerPage* poppler_document_get_page(PopplerDocument*, int): assertion `0 <= index && index < poppler_document_get_n_pages (document)' failed (evince:585): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_ref: assertion `G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed (evince:585): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_unref: assertion `G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed (evince:585): Poppler-CRITICAL **: void poppler_page_get_size(PopplerPage*, double*, double*): assertion `POPPLER_IS_PAGE (page)' failed Segmentation fault ** Attachment added: "Another pdf which crashes - password is "fightforyourright"" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/44959499/PADIss2010.pdf -- evince crashed after opening an encrypted pdf https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/556511 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
