i thought i had replied awhile back when this bug was closed, basically, i had to reinstall ubuntu eee in an older version, and i slowly did updates, a few at a time, so far it has not asked me to upgrade to the latest, i believe im still on 8.10, which does not even have the xserver installed, i might be wrong, i thank you guys for trying to help as much as you can, i think it might have been an update glitch, allthough im very cureiouse as to why the update/upgrade program is not asking me to upgrade to 9.** im going to boot the comp i had the issue with in a sec and run that command though
