Hi,

the patch which removes the max swap file size logic from
dphys-swapfile will be removed with the next upload of dphys-swapfile
to Debian because it is harmful and mostly unnecessary:

a) Without that patch dphys-swapfile would not have gone havoc as
   reported in http://bugs.debian.org/564466

b) The maximum swap file size is configurable in /etc/dphys-swapfile.

c) The patch removed a useful feature (configurable max swap file size).

Nevertheless I will ensure that there is no limit to the swap file
size if MAXSWAP (or maybe CONF_MAXSWAP) is set to the empty string or
zero in "/etc/dphys-swapfile".

I'll also add information about the possibility to configure the max
swap size as well as the factor in "/etc/dphys-swapfile" to the man
page and will suggest to the upstream author to make both officially
configurable (i.e. starting with "CONF_").

Regards, Axel (upcoming maintainer of dphys-swapfile in Debian)
