Public bug reported:

I've just added a new screen to my system. I have an NVidia graphics adapter.
I tried adjusting the settings from the NVidia settings manager to use separate
screens. It required to restart X. so I did, actually I restarted the whole
computer at a point. But whenever I login I keep getting tons of "Starting File
Manager" in the window list applet. Also the Xorg process is hogging at least
%80 of my CPU.

There is no way so far to stop this, except for getting back to the
twin-view mode
