Well, I additionally installed the PulseAudio Volume Control application where it is possible to make device "monitors" visible and set them as default input. This works! However, it doesn't really solve the problem that such things should not require additional software. I even didn't know what to search for, at first.
That means that the problem with the audio-properites app merely lies in the fact that it doesn't offer device monitors for choice, but they do already exist and function! Is it possible to make them visible in the default audio-properties application of Ubuntu? Ideally, the audio- recorder should also have some means of directly choosing the device for input. I put this forward because non-technically oriented family members like my wife expect it to be there and because I deem to remember that such a thing was possible in the recorder delivered with Koala. -- Cannot record from master output https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/586583 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
