The screenshot shows DiffPDF 1.1.2 on the left and evince on the right, both showing the same page of a PDF. This particular version of DiffPDF had been rebuilt to use poppler 0.14.0. What should be clear from the screenshot (especially if you view it at 200%) is that DiffPDF shows clear text and evince shows blurry text.
The Appearance preferences were Subpixel smoothing (LCDs) on, Smoothing Subpixel smoothing (LCDs) on, Hinting Slight, and Subpixel order RGB--- however, changing the settings didn't improve matters. ** Attachment added: "DiffPDF vs. evince" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/50056971/Screenshot.png -- evince rendering is blurry at small point sizes (compared with Ubuntu 9.10) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/591611 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
