I ran into this exact same issue installing Kubuntu 10.4 on a Mac Pro. I have a second drive installed specifically for that installation and the same error occurs when I try to select that drive from the graphical installer. I am going to try the alt iso to work around this but it looks to me like a simple fence post error in the gui code for the combo box.
