I noticed proftpd and cupsd not starting up on some system restarts. I did over 50 restarts and there are two absolutely consistent results: a. On the restarts when proftpd and cupsd start up successfully the output of the runlevel command looks normal i.e. gra...@gt-desktop:~$ runlevel N 2 b.
