'sudo update-grub' will generate a default configuration for your
bootloader, whether using grub or grub-pc.

grub-pc is the default bootloader in 10.04 and as such comes preconfigured
by the installer.  The vast majority of users have no reason to learn any
bootloader; the bootloader is intended to be an invisible system component
requiring no user interaction.  But that no longer applies when you select a
different bootloader for installation.
