Many thanks to You all. Today I observed a peculiar message. Please, don't blame me if this is a no-sense question, or if it is a FAQ ...
The printer (HP1320N) prints almost well (I'm still working around some HPLIP problem - the libusb problem has been fixed - see bug #427805). However, everyday I get such a message in /var/log/kern.log kern.log.1:Jul 12 08:33:35 uffcom2 kernel: [ 2418.550539] usblp0: removed kern.log.1:Jul 12 08:56:30 uffcom2 kernel: [ 3793.783509] usblp0: removed kern.log.1:Jul 13 10:28:54 uffcom2 kernel: [ 7687.284389] usblp0: removed kern.log.1:Jul 14 08:45:24 uffcom2 kernel: [87878.985389] usblp0: removed kern.log.1:Jul 14 09:31:29 uffcom2 kernel: [90643.473467] usblp0: removed kern.log.1:Jul 15 14:00:32 uffcom2 kernel: [ 2129.233394] usblp0: removed kern.log.1:Jul 16 09:18:02 uffcom2 kernel: [ 5805.839505] usblp0: removed kern.log.1:Jul 16 09:19:08 uffcom2 kernel: [ 5871.363425] usblp0: removed kern.log:Jul 20 09:17:22 uffcom2 kernel: [ 5367.939394] usblp0: removed kern.log:Jul 21 09:31:54 uffcom2 kernel: [ 2843.359392] usblp0: removed kern.log:Jul 22 09:53:59 uffcom2 kernel: [ 8377.334403] usblp0: removed For instance, consider the last log entry at 09:53:59. The system booted up at 07:35 today, then I printed some documents before 09:53 and also some documents later, both from LP command line interface, PDF from document viewer and email from Thunderbird. The toolbox jobs viewer showed all the tasks done. What does it mean "usblp0: removed" ? Removed from where? Thanks.
