I can confirm that bug on my (brand new) HP Probook 5310m. "lshw -c
network" shows :

In my case, I have a network which is repeated at the other end of the
house, so that everybody can connect to it without problems.
Unfortunately, the connection breaks frequently (hyper-frustrating), and
it ends only when I disconnect the repeater. /var/log/messages shows :
