I don't know if Facebook's policies are the same as Twitter (see http://blog.nelhage.com/2010/09/dear-twitter/) but shouldn't there be a more permanent, flexible solution than more throttling? Is it possible to generate IDs per-user rather than for all Gwibber users? Apparently this is an inherent problem for OAuth desktop clients.
