Okay, let's see if I can help .... 1. I did in the process of trying to remove-completely a2ps. It made no difference. Originally I was getting the error that /usr/share/emacs- snapshot/site-lisp/a2ps/ could not be accessed. I then manually created the a2ps directory ... and then I got the *.el message. It could well be an a2ps problem, but like I said I deleted a2ps and still had the same issue ... so, probably not :)
2. Okay, tried to delete the dictionaries-common package. Again, I get an error.
