I can confirm this problem occurred today after an upgrade to 2.6.35-23 from 2.6.35-22. My USB mouse stopped working, changed it for two alternative mice, both failed to work. Some ports detected the mouse, others didn't.

With same errors as before (c/p) (dmesg output): [ 1235.301622] hub 2-0:1.0: unable to enumerate USB device on port 1 [ 1237.898293] hub 1-0:1.0: connect-debounce failed, port 3 disabled lsusb fails to print out anything (hangs) if I connect any of the before mentioned USB mice. Resolved by switching back to -22-generic.
