Thanks a lot for reporting this. The problem you are experiencing is due
to the encryption technology that is used on almost every 'store bought
regular DVD movie'. Fortunately, there is an easy way round this. First,
open the Ubuntu Software Centre from

Applications -> Ubuntu Software Centre

and search for libdvdread4. Click on this item and press the install
button. You may have to first press a button marked 'Use this source'.
If this is the case, then do so. Once this is installed, open a terminal
from

Applications -> Accessories -> Terminal

and copy and paste the following command into it

sudo /usr/share/doc/libdvdread4/install-css.sh

You will be prompted to enter you password here. Please note that for
security reasons you will not be able to see it as you enter it.
Pressing [ENTER] after your password will complete the process.

If the problem still persists, then please seek support at
http://askubuntu.com or http://ubuntuforums.org. These are much better
places for support issues, which is what your problem is, rather than a
bug in the software, which is what Launchpad is designed for.

Good luck ;)
