Have Kubuntu 10.04 installed on some 15+ systems here and all of them
are affected. Happens under specific circumstances... to repeat, I do
the following...

Open a new spreadsheet.
Enter some text into a few cells.
copy and paste those cells by using ctrl-c and ctrl-v or by using the toolbar
buttons.
press esc to stop the "marching ants" around the original cells.
Do "Save As" and the delay is obvious... try changing directories in the
dialog... takes almost 30 seconds to display root (3GHz system with sata
drives).

To stop the delay... copy some cells (ctrl-c or button), move the active cell
and press enter (quick copy?).
Now try save-as... speed is back.

Note, I have the kubuntu backports ppa added and a number of kde apps
are still from that repo. Have yet to try on Ubu... will do that as soon
as I get a chance.
