Have similar problems with Flush (as it was set up to launch in tray by 
default, i couldn't even get access to it until i switched to gnome and 
unchecked this option), Goldendict (just disappears in nowhere after closing 
the app, though keeps working) and this is really frustrating. 
@abcd no need to downgrade, just switch to gnome from the login menu.
