@Nikolay: You should try apt-cache policy gnome-panel in terminal. If
gnome-panel is installed, remove it and install/check for xfce4-panel.
@cman: You should also check to make sure gnome-panel is not installed.
@nikhil: That may be a different bug, which should be filed by using
ubuntu-bug xfce4-indicator-plugin
