I was not aware that Wireshark was used that way. Thank you.

I don't agree that Wireshark is mostly used to analyze existing data. I
have never seen anybody use it this way, and I've been using it since
the Ethereal days. Wireshark is very valuable as a tool for real-time
diagnostics. For analyzing data this way, it would be silly to create
dumps, then open them in Wireshark and analyze them, then create new
dumps, etc.

Then I would like to amend the bug report. Wireshark is not "useless"
without superuser privileges, but there should still be a shortcut. Two
shortcuts should be included so that one can launch Wireshark with
superuser privileges.
