By the way, I think Matthias misspoke: gcc-4.0-locales is only built on
hurd-i386, not hppa.

I agree with Martin in this case: it would be much better simply to
arrange for the new version to be built rather than trying to remove old
binaries individually. If the new version can't be built (although there
is no evidence of that yet as far as I can see), then the entire source
should be removed if that's feasible.
