Hi, I tested kernel 3.1.0-999 from 24/10/2011. It seems that the problem does not exist anymore with this version. I could restart my computer several time without any crash at startup. However, 2 issues remain : startup is very long long compared to 10.10 (~ 2min after grub selection) and Nvidia drivers have not been installed (driver "not in use" despite installed). For the driver issue, it comes maybe from the fact that the kernel is not fully optimized. To be confirmed with the released version.
