According to the upstream intel bug report, this issue got resolved
earlier this year. Could you retest for this issue on oneiric? Sounds
like it should be resolved there. If it isn't, it might be worth it to
reopen https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=38292
