Please ensure that you have ubuntu's icon-theme packages installed (run "sudo 
apt-get install ubuntu-mono" in the Terminal), and then run the following 
command:
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface icon-theme "ubuntu-mono-dark"

This should solve your problem.
