huh, interesting. I just found out that the current 32bit version in ubuntu partners repo is 2.2.0.35-0oneiric2, but the 64bit version is still from natty - why is that? Aynway, I installed 2.2.0.35-1 from the skype homepage, will see if this fixes the problem.
