Thank you for your bug report, your summary seems to mix different issues. - dealing with minimized dialogs is an interesting case, gnome-shell decided to drop the minimize action from their ui, the recommended workflow there is to focus what you need rather than unfocs what you don't need, maybe unity should be doing the same
