I have similar problem, when was added last torrent (41GB at all but checked for downloading one file for 4.5GB), deluge start consuming 100% of one core I cant quit from deluge. It hangs after close and still eat 100% of core. When i try kill -9 PID it transforms to zombie and further kill are impossible. Only full rebooting help.
In strace weird repeating actions. I don't know what it is.
