Public bug reported: When updating grub with update-grub, would it possible to show the current GRUB_DEFAULT=0 with something like this:
Generating grub.cfg ... Found linux image (default): /boot/vmlinuz-3.0.0-13-generic Or Generating grub.cfg ... Found linux image: /boot/vmlinuz-3.0.0-13-generic (default) This will save us time if for example we put the wrong number for GRUB_DEFAULT and then restarted only to find out it was +1 or -1. Very useful for dual boot configuration :) Thanks! ** Affects: grub2 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/899697 Title: Feature Request: Mark Default entry for update-grub To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub2/+bug/899697/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
