@guntbert: No, you shouldn't convert it to a question, as this is a bug,
not a question. I have only told you about the link to help you
temporarily with a workaround to find the compilers in software center,
but this still remains a bug, as according to the Software center
specification[1] the Development tools category should show non-
application (technical) packages by default, and it does not do it right
now, so this needs to be fixed.
