There are a couple of commits in the upstream 3.0.18 kernel which might fix this. From the changelog:
commit a92035b63540e2d47326540dc38625283143b770 Author: Marek Vasut Date: Wed Nov 23 10:54:32 2011 +0100 HID: multitouch: Add egalax ID for Acer Iconia W500 commit bb9ff21072043634f147c05ac65dbf8185d4af6d upstream. This patch adds USB ID for the touchpanel in Acer Iconia W500. The panel supports up to five fingers, therefore the need for a new addition of panel types. In addition to the 3.2.x kernel (which I'm assuming contains these patches) it has xserver 1.11 with all of the new X Input 2.2 framework backported from the upcoming xserver 1.12. X Input 2.2 contains a much improved multitouch system. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/801988 Title: [Acer W500] multitouch doesn't work To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/utouch/+bug/801988/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
