Public bug reported: In System Settings 'Disable touched while typing' optino is selected' and still the mouse jumps awa while typing every once in a while.
Sytem: HP ProBook 6460b Ubuntu: 11.10 Assuming the problem is with the idle time set for syndaemon I tried to chang it. As syndaemon parameters can't be changed via the GUI, I tried the following to increase the tilt time: killall syndaemon ; syndaemon -i 2 -K -R What I experienced is if you press a key (ie in gnome-terminal) and immediately start moving the mouse in some of the cases the mouse doesn't get tilted. It means, that the problem is not with the idle time itself, but mouse doesn't even get disabled in some of the cases at all. To reproduce: a) press a key and immediately move the mouse b) move the mouse continously and hit a key ** Affects: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/930080 Title: Mouse (touchpad) jumps while typing although it should be disabled To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input-synaptics/+bug/930080/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
