Attached is an updated syslog from 20120213 daily-live session with
dist-upgrade run (new hplip etc).

** Description changed:

- Trying out on 12.04 alpha2 (I mixed up my images apparently, I was
- supposed to be booting latest daily...)
+ Trying out on 12.04 alpha2 or UPDATE: 20120213 daily image + dist-
+ upgrade, same results.

Here are first the steps of what happens after plugging in the printer:

  1. A terminal window appears, with lots of text and options d(ownload) /
s(p)ecify / q(uit). Pressing Enter is enough (only hint at this is the *
besides that option)
  2. Plugin downloads and license text is shown. Pressing Enter is enough (yes
is marked with *).
  3. The plugin apparently loads since printer makes noise. The terminal is
left open with the following text as last:
  "Downloading firmware to device hp://..."
  "Firmware download successful."
  "Done."
  4. Printing would be possible at this point.

  However:
  5. Detach usb cable, power off printer, power on again, attach USB cable.
  6. Nothing happens, no firmware is loaded.

Manually running "hp-firmware" from the command line loads up the plugin
and printing works. In addition to normal apport attachments I'm
attaching a syslog which has eg. foo2zjs complaints.
