Public bug reported: Once the video driver installed, the desktop started to have a series of fatal errors. I am not sure but I am thinking that a secondary boot error was introduced when I activated the AHCI function of the MOBO in an attempt to increase the throughput of the SATA. I will switch the interface back to IDE to see if that helps.
