As Robert said, my preliminary sketch uses "Software & Updates" as the name for a System Settings panel. To match, I propose that in USC "Edit" > "Software Sources…" should change to "Edit" > "Settings…", and "Settings" > "Repositories" in Synaptic should change to "Settings" > "Software & Updates…". The equivalent button label in Update Manager is already "Settings…", so that doesn't need changing.
Finally, if the System Settings panel isn't implemented for 12.10, I think it would be reasonable to retitle the "Software Sources" window to "Software & Updates Settings" in the meantime. ** Changed in: software-properties (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Triaged ** Changed in: synaptic (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Triaged ** Changed in: update-manager (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/922135 Title: Inconsistencies between Software sources and modalities to open it To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/software-properties/+bug/922135/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
