I've just built the latest tightvnc (1.2.x) for lucid, and the included libvnc.so seems to be working fine. I had to apply a couple of tiny patches to the xserver:
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/xserver/commit/?id=626f97688a89dbc5da80390d822d21b1a737de0e http://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/xserver/commit/?id=2f29b163bbdebe384c24f781bb97b446959e8f4c I did my build by hand, and the process as it stands seems to involve adding the vnc module to a copy of the xserver source tree and rebuilding. If someone better acquainted with the xserver source could get the above patches applied to the Ubuntu tree and package tightvnc, that would be fantastic.. I will try to attach a copy of my xserver binary package and the libvnc.so.. ** Attachment added: "xserver-xorg-core_1.7.6-2ubuntu7.10+srd1_i386.deb" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/vnc4/+bug/247669/+attachment/3147150/+files/xserver-xorg-core_1.7.6-2ubuntu7.10%2Bsrd1_i386.deb -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/247669 Title: vnc4: vnc4server: libvnc.so crashes Xorg 1.4 on remote keypress or mouseclick To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/vnc4/+bug/247669/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
