Additional Information Fedora17: On Fedora, it seems that the Bug occurs more often when using dual- monitor set-up, making it change to "mirror displays" after the (self initiated) restart of gnome shell. This both happens with the open source drivers as well as with prop. catalyst drivers (ATI 12.6 beta.)
