My other comments are purely incidental and only to explain why I can not run any of the commands that you are asking us users to run. I have no access to the command line on that machine under Quantal, and it is too much effort for me other than just saying: it does not work. I will wait for a more advanced Quantal beta and if I have time I will download the cdimage and try to run it again. If the bug stays the same, I won't be able to run in terminal any command, neither for this bug, nor to report other problems with the installer. sorry. I understand that the architecture I am using (nVidia chipset with integrated graphics and Athlon X2) is obsolete (seven years old) and not very well supported (thank you, nVidia). But this is the machine that I am using the diNovo with, and the only machine I can fiddle with.
