I've noticed that while it doesn't appear to work - perhaps it is just working really slowly on http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/20120905.2 /quantal-desktop-armhf+omap4.img as I just tried - 3 or 4 times - eventually it did just that - went backwards all in one go.
