Temporary fix for those who needs lightdm working: 1) Install the package "lightdm-gtk-greeter" (sudo apt-get install lightdm-gtk-greeter ) 2) Edit /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf (sudo gedit /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf), changing
